The Engine Shed is a huge modified railway carriage shed based next to Stirling railway station. The interior has been conserved beautifully.
One of the main features is an augmented reality map. At 10m long by 7m wide, it is vast. There are layers of data and information to explore in a highly interactive and personalised way.
Upcycled materials have been used throughout the construction.
Large hero panels celebrate the use of authentic and traditional building materials found in Scotland. The colours and textures come from gigapixel photography of real samples.
The augmented reality map basis is made from satellite images so detailed that the visitor can see individual dwellings across the whole of Scotland
